G650 - Navigation
Planeview II - The navigation database automatically sequences to the database cycle at 0600Z. Depending on the location, the database cycle date may not agree with the current local date.
The navigation database automatically sequences to the database cycle at 0900Z. It is true that depending on the location, the database cycle date may not agree with the current local date.
Planeview II - ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) - The ETA for the corresponding BRG/DIS entry is displayed when available. When the aircraft is airborne, the predicted ETA is displayed. When the aircraft is on the ground, the ETA is calculated from the ETD.
Each MFP has two independent Air Data (AD) channels within it, an AD channel which calculates onside air data and local AOA information and an Opposite Side Pressure (OSP) channel which provides static pressure to the AD channel on the other side of the aircraft.
Planeview II (Holding Pattern) - The FMS targets hold speed for procedure turn/procedure legs (default is _____ knots).
When approach speeds are lower than 200 knots hold speed, or when there is a constraint speed, the FMS targets the lowest of these speeds.
Planeview II - The navigation database contains two, _____ effective cycles. To change the active navigation database between the two cycles, push the 2R line select key.
The 'ADS-1-2-3 Stby Fail' Caution message (CAS) id displayed when:
The HUD is able to provide a Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) approach capability.
The HUD does not provide a Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) approach capability. NDB approaches may be set up and flown through the FMS, using the HUD for guidance.
Digital Air Data Computing (DADC) system architecture eliminates the need for separate Angle of Attack (AOA) sensors, static ports, air data computers, current regulators and current monitors typical of a traditional system. In addition, pneumatic plumbing to remote sensors and the associated fittings and drains are eliminated.
Planeview II - If the FMS date corresponds to a day during one of the navigation database cycles, that cycle is displayed in _____. The remaining cycle is displayed in _____.
If both cycles are displayed in amber, either the date is wrong or the navigation database has expired and must be updated. The database cycle can only be changed while on the ground. If an active flight plan exists, it is cleared when changing database cycles.
Planeview II - The default holding is a standard holding pattern at the designated holding fix with the inbound course set to the flight plan course into the holding fix. Leg times are defaulted to 1 minute below _____
Leg times are defaulted to 1 minute below 14,000 feet and 1.5 minutes at or above 14,000 feet.

The Multi-function Probe (MFP) measures the current and voltage of the heater power and regulates the on time of the heater to maintain a probe tip temperature of 150 deg.C (plus or minus 50 deg.C) when airspeed is less than _____ knots. Above _____ , the MFP heater is turned full on.
The Digital Air Data Computing (DADC) system measures the pressure and temperature of the external air and supplies this data to the other systems. It consists of _____
The DADC system provides accurate altitude, calibrated airspeed, vertical speed, true airspeed, mach number, angle of attack, angle of side slip, air pressure and air temperature data essential for the control, navigation and propulsion of the aircraft. Each Multi-function Probe (MFP) has two independent Air Data (AD) channels within it, an AD channel which calculates onside air data and local AOA information and an Opposite Side Pressure (OSP) channel which provides static pressure to the AD channel on the other side of the aircraft. Two dual element TAT probes located on the left and right sides of the forward fuselage provide outside air temperature to the associated MFP. The MFP controls and monitors the TAT heater to reduce the power requirements based on temperature and aircraft state.
Planeview II (Holding Pattern Size) - The FMS has been designed to keep the aircraft within protected airspace during holding patterns. If the aircraft approaches a holding pattern at a groundspeed that results in the aircraft exceeding protected airspace, the scratchpad message HIGH HOLDING GRD SPD (groundspeed) is displayed _____ before the aircraft crosses the holding fix.
If this message is displayed, the groundspeed must be reduced and the aircraft position, relative to the holding pattern, must be monitored. If the high groundspeed is maintained, the aircraft can overshoot the outbound leg and possibly exceed protected airspace.
