The Dornier 328JET is a twinjet commuter airliner, initially produced by Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH. before its acquisition in 1996 by Fairchild Aircraft. It is a jet extension of the Dornier 328 turboprop.
Principally designed for short-haul passenger operators and powered with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306B turbofans, the Dornier 328JET took to the sky in 1998. Originally known as the 328-300, the aircraft carried the “328JET” designation and 110 examples were produced between 1996 and 2002.
