Boeing B767

Initially designed to complement the larger Boeing 747, the Boeing 767 was marketed to the transcontinental routes, a loosening of ETOPS rules starting in 1985 allowed the aircraft to operate transatlantic flights. Competitors have included the Airbus A300, A310, and A330-200. Its successor is the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, that entered in service in 2011. Production is expected to cease by the end of 2027 due to more stringent emissions and noise limits that will go into effect in 2028.
