After the launch of the TBM 900, the TBM family has evolved to include four other variants: the TBM 910, TBM 930, TBM 940, and TBM 960, each with further upgrades.
The majority of these increases include avionics upgrades, with the TBM 910 including the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite, the TBM 930 including the Garmin G3000 avionics suite, the TBM 940 including autothrottle and automatic deicing, and the TBM 960 including a full authority digital engine control (FADEC) and a propellor upgrade to the Hartzell Propeller Raptor. One of the most unique features of both the TBM 940 and the TBM 960 is the HomeSafe system, which is an emergency autoland system provided by Garmin. Nearly 500 of the TBM 900 family of aircraft have been produced, accounting for nearly half of the total aircraft.
