Airbus A350

The Airbus A350 XWB is a family of long-range, twin-engine wide-body jet airliners developed by Airbus. The A350 is the first Airbus with both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer.

The A350 is powered by two Trent XWB turbofan engines that result from a very close collaboration between Airbus and the powerplant’s manufacturer, Rolls-Royce.

There are two different types of A350: the A350 -900 and the A350-1000. With a fuselage that is 7 m (23 ft) longer than the Airbus A350-900 version, the A350-1000 features modified wing trailing-edges and larger six-wheel main landing gear, while retaining the A350 Family’s advanced airframe design. Its variants seat 280 to 366 passengers in typical three-class seating layouts. Some low-cost airlines operate the A350-1000 in high-density layouts (with up to 490 passengers).
